Open and Utility dog training classes are for dog and handler teams who have earned a Companion Dog (CD) or Companion Dog Excellent (CDX) degrees.
Open dog training classes cover broad and high jumps, retrieves on the flat and over the high jump, drop on recall, out of sight sits and downs, and off leash heeling.
Utility dog training classes work on directed jumping, go outs, glove retrieves, scent discrimination, signals for stand, sit, and drop, stand for exam, and off leash heeling.
NOTE: If your dog tries to bite or has bitten a person, or lunges/snaps at other dogs, or you are not physically capable of controlling your dog, then a group class is not a suitable environment. It is best to consult with an animal behaviorist.
