Open to any dog and skill level (from 5 months to adult).
Learn positive handling techniques and skills for home, on a walk, at vet office, or any public space.
Family members are encouraged to attend and watch, in order to follow and use same commands and techniques.
Students will learn many everyday skills. Students may also present other situations where they require help.
Some of the skills that will be covered:
Walk on a loose leash
Walk into a store or public place quietly without lunging at a stranger
Walk calmly past another dog
Sit plus stay
Down plus stay
Sit politely while being petted by a stranger
Wait at the door (without lunging out the door, gate, car, etc)
Wait command such as wait while you perform a task such as unlock the door to your home, remove a grocery bag from your vehicle, wait for food bowl, etc.
Leave it command
No jump command
Note: If your dog attempts to bite or has bitten a person or lunges/snaps at other dogs, or you are not physically able to control your dog, then a group class is not suitable environment. It is best to consult with an animal behaviorist.
